Steph LeClair and Kristen McKenzie from Toronto beat out two rival teams — Jillian MacLaughlin and Emmett Blois, and Joel Ground and Ashley Callingbull — on their way to the final pit stop mat in Montreal.
They’ll take home $250,000 in cash, plus enjoy a trip for two around the world and a brand-new Chevrolet vehicle.
The Season 4 teams raced through three countries, seven provinces, and 14 cities, including Vietnam, Cuba, and the Northwest Territories.
“We feel so lucky, there are so many strong ladies and it could have gone to anyone, but we wanted to prove that we’re just as tough as the guys,” said Kristen.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate and partner in this race, and better girlfriend,” added Steph. “She really kept it together for us and I’m so proud of her – it was so much fun.”
The couple plan to use part of the money to pay off her law school debt and use some of it to fund their upcoming travels.
“It just gives us a little bit of a cushion now to really figure out what we want to do, where we want to be and see where life takes us,” LeClair said.
The pair also won four other legs of the competition and were given travel prizes for each of those victories.
